Or we are happy to tailor make a trip to your specific wants and desires…

Ride with cowboys and join us for a day of horseback riding mountain trails, to view the high country of the Wyomings’ with Best of the West Outfitters. Being horseback in the mountains is the most epic way to take in the beautiful Wyoming back-country and all its wonders. Our trips are taken into the mountains of the Wyoming Range to view wildlife in there natural habitat, cattle grazing, mountain streams and the mountainous landscape. In addition you will have amazing basin views with the “Winds” as a back drop, the remains of an ancient glacier and one of the highest peaks in the State, “Wyoming Peak”.

Trail riders will often see mule deer, elk, bighorn sheep and the occasional moose in their summer range while enjoying your day ride with us. There are numerous trails that accommodate horseback riders with all levels of experience, from beginners to the most advanced horseman. We will make sure to match you with the perfect horse and head up country for the day.

Please bring your personal gear and riding clothes along with you. Although the summer is mostly sunny, a rain coat (slicker) on these trips is advisable. Bring your appetite… because your day ride will include a brown sack lunch.

What sets us apart from other trail ride operations, is that our rides are customized to your riding abilities by local cowboys. This practice assures you that your riding vacation will be the opportunity to “Live Life to Discover” and incredibly memorable. You can also take in a guided or unguided fly fishing experience on the surrounding mountain streams and lakes, so be sure to arrange to stay overnight in our South Piney Creek Camp after enjoying the trails the Wyoming Range has to offer.

Adding an overnight stay in camp to your adventure, will have an additional fee associated. Evening dinner and camping are offered at our drive-in camp, which offers heated wall tents on wooden platforms, a cozy cook/dinning tent and outhouse.

Bring the family, friends or business associates and let them enjoy the peace and solitude of spending the night in our very comfortable wall tent camp. Feed the horses, hike, enjoy a steak dinner and sit by the campfire. We encourage you to add one or two nights to your vacation at our traditional wall tent camp… It’s a great way to connect with the family and truly experience the mountains.
