What You'll Catch

Fly fishing for Bonneville Cutthroat Trout in Wyoming is one the most sought after, exciting, native species to pursue while attempting to achieve your Cutt Slam. Mature Cutts are wary, extremely cagey, and can make for a very challenging trout to catch on a dry fly.

A Day in Camp

Morning & Afternoon

The Lake Alice Fly-Fishing Packtrip sets out from Best of the West home base at the Green River Lodge in Pinedale, WY. We saddle up the horses and ride out about 2.5 hours to our South Piney Camp where you’ll sleep for the duration of your trip. Each morning we get started around 8 am when we discuss plans over breakfast.

The proximity of the camp to the shore of Lake Alice gives you a lot of flexibility and the ability to easily return to camp throughout the day. Fish from the shore or get out on the lake on a boat or a tube to complete your Wyoming Cutt Slam.

Evening

The cook will have dinner prepared around sunset, and guests can kick off their waders and tell stories of the day over a hearty supper in the dinner tent.
